AJ Lee's 12 Worst Moments In WWE

5. Getting Degraded By Stephanie McMahon: June 17, 2013

Although the lashing AJ Lee took from Daniel Bryan in early 2012 was a crucial part of her character development and made storyline sense, there were times when AJ took verbal abuse from other on-air characters for no reason whatsoever. At 2013's Payback pay-per-view, she realized a dream when she beat her best friend Kaitlyn for the Divas Championship. A monumental moment in her career, she deserved to receive a celebration of some sort on the next night's Raw; instead, she was talked down to by Stephanie McMahon in a worthless in-ring segment. Basically, Stephanie interrupted AJ's gloating promo and warned her to never disrespect her again, or else. At the time, Stephanie was a face and AJ was a heel, so it was completely illogical for AJ endure such degradation at her hands, but it was later reported this was an opportunist message to anyone in the back who dared to interrupt Stephanie. Which is as stupid as it sounds. They had great chemistry together, sure, but because it never ended up leading to anything, this segment served very little purpose.
