AJ Styles Returns To WWE Raw Following Medical Absence

This was the first time WWE fans have seen AJ Styles since Crown Jewel 2021.

AJ Styles returned to WWE television for last night's episode of Raw, making his first appearance for the promotion since competing at Crown Jewel 2021 in Saudi Arabia on 21 October.

It was reported last week that the former WWE Champion was absent due to a "non-injury related medical issue." No return window was provided at the time, though it fortunately looks like whatever AJ was dealing with has now cleared up.

Styles and tag team partner Omos teamed with Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode to face RK-Bro and The Street Profits on Raw. There was discontent between the two heel sides, however, as Ziggler sneakily tagged himself in while Omos was attempting to tag Styles, scoring the pinfall on Riddle soon after. Omos put Roode into the barricade at one point, doing so after the former NXT Champion lashed out at Styles.

AJ and Omos had been feuding with Randy Orton and Riddle for much of the summer, with RK-Bro taking the Raw Tag Team Championships from them at SummerSlam 2021 (21 August).

WWE is yet to confirm what's next for Styles and his colossal partner, though conventional wrestling booking patterns would point towards Ziggler and Roode as their next opponents.
