AJ Styles Scheduled For Regular Raw Tapings As WWE Exit Rumours Intensify (WWE News)

WWE plans to book AJ Styles regularly despite recent fan concerns about his future.

PWInsider Elite reports that worried fans shouldn't read too much into AJ Styles taking the fall during Monday's main event on Raw. For reference, AJ was pinned by Chad Gable's 'El Grande Americano' offshoot after a loaded head butt secured the win - CM Punk had been taken out of the match by Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker, which cleared the way for Americano's victory and qualification into the men's Money In The Bank ladder bout.

There, Americano tangles with Seth Rollins, Solo Sikoa, Andrade, Penta and LA Knight.

That's actually a huge spot on the next WWE PLE for Gable's alter ego, but...what about Styles? People have been concerned about his WWE future lately, but PWInsider allayed fears by reporting that AJ "is scheduled regular for Raw tapings going forward". In other words, Triple H wants to see a lot of Styles inside the ring over coming weeks and months.

During Monday's flagship, AJ also continued teasing an Intercontinental Title challenge vs. reigning champ and Judgment Day member Dominik Mysterio. It surely makes sense that the company's creative team wouldn't continue doing that if they planned to wind up his WWE career sometime soon.

Saying that, R-Truth was rivalling none other than John Cena before he was unceremoniously cut from the active roster, so it's understandable that some people are fretting over Styles.

Styles Teased Retirement In 2024

Cast your minds back to last year and AJ Styles was teasing his retirement before working a Mark Henry-like swerve angle with then-WWE Champ and poster boy babyface Cody Rhodes. Together, the pair worked a memorable match at Backlash France in front of a rowdy live crowd. Then, on the 31 May 2024 SmackDown, AJ invited Rhodes out to the ring apparently to usher in his retirement.

That's when he attacked, which led to a follow up "I Quit" scorcher between the duo on Clash At the Castle in Glasgow, Scotland shortly thereafter. Since then, Styles has taken some time off to heal up nagging injures, then put Logan Paul over on the undercard at WrestleMania 41.

He isn't booked as a match-winning focal point these days, hence some of the worry that had been floating around for his future. Some had pondered whether or not AJ's contract was lapsing and that's why Hunter had started glossing over him heading into the summer of 2025.

It doesn't appear that this is the case. You'll be seeing a lot more of Styles on Raw shortly.
