Alexa Bliss has admitted that returning to WWE isn't her decision as her absence from the market-leading wrestling promotion nears the two-year mark.

Earlier today, the former Raw and SmackDown Women's Champion tweeted "Where's Alexa...", captioning a gif of a woman looking through a magnifying glass. When a Twitter user asked Bliss to help them with the answer, Alexa replied: "Unfortunately, not up to me."

When another user said that they missed Bliss, "I miss you all" was the response.

Bliss, 33, hasn't wrestled for WWE since 28 January 2023, when she was defeated by then-Raw Women's Champion Bianca Belair at Royal Rumble 2023. This is the longest absence of her WWE career, having signed with the wrestling giant in May 2013, when she was assigned to the NXT developmental system. Since breaking out as Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy's manager in NXT, she has become a cornerstone of WWE's women's division, accumulating multiple title reigns - singles and tag - throughout an objectively successful run.

There is currently no word on when Alexa is expected back in WWE.

Why Alexa Bliss Isn't In WWE Right Now

Alexa Bliss took time away from WWE in early 2023 when it was revealed she and husband Ryan Cabrera were expecting their first child. The couple's daughter, Hendrix, was born on 27 November that year.

Alarmingly, Bliss revealed in March 2023 that she had undergone a procedure to remove skin cancer. Posting to Instagram stories, she revealed that she had fortunately been given the all-clear, but warned her younger self to avoid tanning beds, attaching an image of herself sporting a bandage on the side of her face.

Responding to a concerned fan on Twitter, Alexa said: "Don't worry, short healing time. Always get your skin checked! Esp if you are in the sun or use tanning beds!".

In another reply, Bliss revealed that she had a spot on her face that had gotten worse. This was diagnosed as basal cell carcinoma. Alexa's doctor found further squamous cells during the procedure, though Bliss described it as "quick and easy."
