All 12 WWE NXT Women's Champions Ranked Worst To Best
5. Bayley
Bayley had arguably the greatest character development of any woman to hold the NXT Women's Championship. The Huggable One went from portraying a character akin to a child, to one of the most popular women's wrestlers of all time. Along her rise, Bayley would fail to win the title from both the first two inaugural champions in Paige and Charlotte Flair before her all-time rivalry with Sasha Banks would kick off.
In one of the greatest women's matches of all time, Bayley would defeat The Boss at Takeover: Brooklyn to with the title. After defending her prize against Banks in the first ever women's Iron Man match in WWE history, Bayley was quickly left alone in NXT. The rest of the Four Horsewomen - Sasha, Charlotte, and Becky Lynch - would be promoted to the main roster. Despite losing the entirety of the top of the division, Bayley was still able to have solid titles matches against the rest of the women's roster, bringing the best out of some of the less experienced members of the roster in Alexa Bliss, Carmella, Nia Jax and even Eva Marie.
It quickly became clear that Bayley's title reign was only going to fall to one person; that being Asuka. The Empress of Tomorrow's legendary undefeated streak coincided with Bayley's title reign and, at Takeover: Dallas, Asuka would defeat the last remaining member of NXT's Four Horsewoman, ending Bayley's reign at 223 days.
