All 15 Undertaker/Triple H WWE Matches: Ranked From Worst To Best

4. SmackDown (24 October 2008)

Undertaker, Triple H, WrestleMania XXVIII
WWE Network

Six years after Triple H and The Undertaker's successive dull encounters, both men would meet again in the main event of SmackDown. This time, however, the action was much superior, and was a sign of things to come from the two legends.

Things started slow, with both men attempting to out-wrestle the other. It then built into an entertaining fight, full of action and a brilliantly dramatic series of false finishes that had the audience on the edges of their seats. This was all capped off by a phenomenal sequence where both 'Taker and Trips tried to hit each other with every finisher they had, only for the other one to counter it.

You could sense that they were working really hard here, and it was so good that not even the predictable DQ finish (which saw Big Show interfere) took away from it. Moreover, they were both in phenomenal shape and neither of them struggled to keep up with the other.

It may not be in the same league as their WrestleMania battles, but this was a vast improvement over anything these two produced in 2002 and remains their best non-PPV encounter.
