All 15 Undertaker/Triple H WWE Matches: Ranked From Worst To Best

11. Raw (26 August 2002)

Undertaker, Triple H, WrestleMania XXVIII
WWE Network

In spite of what WWE tells us, Triple H has actually defeated The Undertaker three times. Two of those times, like this one for example, came in controversial fashion.

After multiple less-than-stellar main events in 2002, the two men met one more time in a No.1 Contender's Match on Raw - only this time, The Undertaker was the fan-favourite. By this stage, it was well-documented that these two were struggling to produce a great match that year, so WWE was wise to shorten this one.

It started off strong, with Triple H jumping 'The Phenom' from behind, but the one-sided beatdown wore thin very quickly and every time 'The Cerebral Assassin' locked in a sleeper hold, the pace stalled completely. It did have some strong moments in there (though they were brief), and it wasn't painful to watch. So in many ways, it was an improvement over their previous bout.

'Taker managed to make an impact with a few brief flurries, but he would ultimately lose when then-WWE Champion Brock Lesnar cost him the match. From a story standpoint, this was fine but the action wasn't anything to write home about.
