9. Wyatt Family
Bray Wyatt and his disciples were staples of early period NXT, and they inflicted a reign of terror on the fledgling promotion. Not a figurative reign of terror, either; they became the ruling stable in NXT through a campaign of seemingly random destruction, attacking whomever they saw fit.
WWE clearly understood the sickly backwoods appeal of the Wyatts, at least at first. We got to see a bunch of vignettes that showed us the kind of creepy bayou vibe they'd be bringing to the table.
When they finally showed up in person, it was so Luke Harper and Erick Rowan could tear Kane apart and nearly decapitate him with the ring steps while Wyatt chuckled softly from the comfort of his rocking chair.
It was creepy, and gave a unique flavor to the Wyatts’ beatdown, and they would administer many, randomly, across the roster as Kane recuperated from his.
In Wyatt’s first main roster match, he defeated Kane in a ring of fire match, and the Family repeated their attack with the ring steps. Afterward, they carried Kane’s broken body from the arena, establishing themselves as a terrifying and incomprehensible force.
And they stayed that way forever. Yes, sir.
