One of last year’s favourites to win the bloody thing, Mercedes Martinez could easily repeat last year’s semi-final placing. She remains one of the pillars of women’s independent wrestling and was easily one of the best thing’s about the inaugural tournament so it’s really cool to have her back. We're saying semi's again this time but if WWE want a massive shock upset in the first round she could be used to put someone else over huge.

3. Meiko Satomura

We have Meiko Satomura down in the semi-final stage simply because we don’t think WWE would book an all Japanese final (more on that later) but, by rights, she should be considered one of the favourites to win.

She’s the founder of the Sendai Girls promotion in Japan and has a 20+ year career that’s seen her working all over the world. Including taking the Fight Club: PRO title from Chris Brookes earlier this year.
