All NXT Champions Ranked - From Worst To Best

6. Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins NXT Champion
WWE

The very first NXT Champion and arguably the most successful graduate of the developmental brand to date. Seth Rollins has always seemed destined for big things, and from the moment he arrived in NXT it was clear that he was being positioned as the number one good guy on the show.

Rollins won the belt in a tournament, defeating Jinder Mahal in the final in what is a sentence I still struggle to believe. The tournament is so strange to look back at now. Rollins defeated Drew McIntyre in the first round, before besting Michael McGillicutty (Curtis Axel) in the semis. Jinder went through Bo Dallas and Richie Steamboat. Early NXT was a far cry from what it is today.

Despite everything being in his favour, Rollins' run as champion was fairly forgettable. He would eventually drop the title to Big E. Langston, ostensibly so he could move full time to the main roster as part of The Shield.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
