Assessing Future Of 10 WWE Stars Who Didn’t Make Royal Rumble 2019 Cut

2. Big Show

It's rather fitting that Big Show turned for the millionth time when we saw him last. His flip back to the friendly babyface giant role in late-November last year ended his short-lived (and ultimately fruitless) alliance with The Bar, and it teased that Show would be a happy-go-lucky big man whenever he next returned.

He sat this year's Rumble out, which is a minor shock.

Show working the Rumble is an easy sell for WWE. The announcers can harp on about his physical size and a fresh face can gain some shine by eliminating him from the match as those same commentators act like they've never witnessed anything so impressive. Sadly for Show, the truth is that he's on the outs.

A WWE Hall Of Fame induction beckons for him at some point over the next few years. Just like Kane, the days of Show appearing weekly on WWE television are very much finished. His effectiveness comes from filling the brand ambassador role and showing up intermittently.
