Assessing The Futures Of 10 WWE Stars Who Didn’t Make Royal Rumble 2020 Cut
3. Kane
Before the Royal Rumble, Kane popped back up on SmackDown to help Daniel Bryan distract Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' and give his old Team Hell No pal the upper hand. Most believed that wouldn't be a one off for the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee, and that Kane would be a fun legacy entrant in the 30-man Rumble.
It didn't happen.
Kane was nowhere to be found in Houston despite intimating that he'd be part of the match for an amazing 20th time in his career. According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE didn't have plans for Kane at the Rumble at all, which only makes his promo-ing about being the match type's most dominant all the more confusing.
Don't be surprised if that cameo was designed with something else in mind though. There's a chance that Kane could work opposite Bray Wyatt at the next Super ShowDown event in Saudi Arabia on 27 February. He'd be a fine legendary makeweight for Wyatt before WrestleMania 36, and it'd make sense after Wyatt's feud with Daniel Bryan.
