Austin Theory Gets Brand New Character On Last Night's WWE Raw

Former Money In The Bank holder shockingly bounces back from rock bottom.

Austin Theory underwent a character transformation of sorts on last night's Monday Night Raw.

Having attempted to rationalise why he chose the United States Champion Seth Rollins over Roman Reigns for his failed Money In The Bank cash-in attempt seven days prior, Theory destroyed Dolph Ziggler on the arena floor in a match that went to a No Contest before returning at the end of the night to assault Rollins following 'The Visionary Of Drip's win over Finn Bálor. He then held the belt he'd failed to claim last week aloft as the show went off the air.

In need of a big week after last week's total disaster Theory spoke of being "more alive than ever" after the setback and pledged to be the "face of the franchise" going forward.

Noting that multiple cash-in attempts on Roman Reigns had failed and suggesting The Bloodline would have put paid to even his best efforts, the former Vince McMahon pet project said he felt he had no choice but to challenge Rollins, and blamed Bobby Lashley's involvement for falling short. He also seemingly abandoned the self-obsessed element of his character, ditching the phone he'd typically take his trademark selfies with during prior programmes.
