Santos Escobar hasn't been seen since briefly exiting then re-signing with WWE in early October. The Legado del Fantasma star seemed to be on the outs with Triple H's company before having a change of heart, but he's yet to make a splash on Raw, SmackDown or even NXT since agreeing fresh terms with the market leader.

Now, Fightful Select has provided an update.

They noted that WWE did have big plans for Santos before any of this 'will he/won't he?' stuff happened last month. The website suggested that those plans may still come into effect soon, but they're obviously not a pressing concern for Hunter or his creative team - Escobar hasn't wrestled a match on TV since the WWE and AAA crossover show in June.

Before that, his latest mainline WWE match came in a loss to Rey Fenix on the 2 May episode of SmackDown.

Fightful did find out that Santos was backstage for the 27 October edition of Raw, but he wasn't shown on camera or involved in any segments on the show at all. Before the 21 November SmackDown, Escobar drummed up a bit of attention for himself by posting via X that he's "waiting patiently". He didn't, however, appear on that broadcast either.

According to sources, Santos is making "very good" money as part of his brand new deal with WWE. It's unclear whether or not that means he signed on for bigger cash than he was earning before, or if it's the same number. Either way, good on him for getting his new contract.

Hopefully, it won't be too long until fans see Escobar wrestle again.
