While much was made about WWE racing against the clock to get WrestleMania 36 recorded before Orange County imposed a lockdown on all non-essential operations, so too has AEW undergone a similar rush to get new content in the can.

Courtesy of the PWTorch, All Elite Wrestling had a battle to make sure that as much content as possible was shot before a midnight deadline imposed on Norcross, Georgia this past Thursday.

According to the Torch, AEW managed to film enough content to fill several weeks of AEW’s regular Dynamite programming. Matches and segments have been shot that will further the current storylines that audiences have seen being developed on AEW TV, and there’s even rumblings that there is enough material to fill programming through until the finals of the TNT Championship tournament at May 23’s Double or Nothing PPV.

If the lockdown instructions are relaxed over the coming weeks, AEW may look to use some of this content on AEW Dark. But for now, the plan is very much to use this material to fill out the weekly TV product.

For these tapings, a Georgia state official was present to make sure that the company adhered to the rules and policies put in place during this time of social distancing. As for talent who were present, wrestlers and crew were rotated in and out of the venue as and when they were needed.

It’s worth noting that the only wrestler who actually travelled for the Georgia tapings was inaugural AEW Champion Chris Jericho, who provided commentary on some of the impending action we’ll see on Dynamite.

Already recorded from AEW’s time at Jacksonville’s Daily’s Place is current AEW Champion Jon Moxley facing off against Jake Hager in a match that will air in two weeks.
