Having recently been forced into a spell on the sidelines, AEW Women's Champion Thunder Rosa has provided an update on the injury that's currently keeping her out of action.

Speaking on her latest vlog (via Fightful), La Mera Mera shared footage of her visiting the South Texas Spine & Joint Institute, and revealed that she'll be receiving treatment for at least the next six weeks.

As Rosa detailed:

"I'm here at the South Texas Spine & Joint Institute with Dr. Kaiser. He is the one who helped me out, found out that I had a back injury. I'll be coming here pretty often. I've been treated by him for over four years, so he knows me very well. So, I just had my first treatment. It's gonna be six weeks, just to start. I'm going to be here four times a week."

Continuing on, the one-time NWA Women's Champion added:

"I've been up and about all day, since, like, 8 in the morning. I'm doing my first physical therapy session today. This is after six weeks fo being injured. Not travelling has actually made a huge difference."

Thunder Rosa has been absent from AEW television since the 24 August edition of Dynamite. There, a backstage segment saw Rosa announce that she was dealing with an injury that would force her to step away from the ring and miss her scheduled AEW Women's Title defence against Toni Storm at All Out.

While Thunder is very much still the AEW Women's Champion, All Out saw Storm topple Britt Baker, Jamie Hayter and Hikaru Shida in a four-way bout to crown an interim Women's Champion.

As for when Rosa will be back on TV, that remains to be seen. Based on what she said in her latest vlog, it looks like the hugely talented star will be on the shelf for at least another two months or so.
