Backstage News On Heat Among WWE Women's Division

A series of tweets and subtweets inspires intrigue...

Across social media, an old, layered backstage rivalry - or a work designed to wile away boredom on the road - has resurfaced.

Nia Jax retweeted a tweet posted by a user named @Era_Of_Bliss (unaffiliated), which implied that Sasha Banks aimed an unnecessary cheap shot at Alexa Bliss on this week's RAW. The tweet also seemed to indicate that Sasha's candid words on Chronicle - "I would never try to intentionally hurt anyone", to paraphrase - were hypocritical.

Seemingly in response, Sasha's husband - Sarath Ton - subtweeted Nia by advising "I've said it before, I'll say it again. People in glass houses shouldn't cast stones".

Meanwhile, over on Instagram, Alexa Bliss posted a screenshot from the same episode, in which Sasha appeared to fail to perform her role in Alexa's dive spot. Obviously, it's unclear whether this was done deliberately, or whether it was a simple lapse in timing and concentration that affects every performer on any given night. It should be noted that a group of senior vets failed to catch Ivar's big dive on the very same episode.

In response to Madusa's reply - "Thank god for Bailey (sic)" - Bliss wrote "I said the same thing".

If this whole thing is a work, it's a fairly sophisticated web of indirect cattiness. It's either that, or at least one member of the Women's roster is going full Koji Kitao on RAW next week.

Can't wait.
