Will the Game be involved in this year's Showcase of the Immortals?

Just in case you needed clarification on whether or not Triple H might step back in the ring as WWE looks to load up WrestleMania 38, Dave Meltzer has noted how there is "no way" that the Game will be in action at this year's Showcase of the Immortals.

Speaking on the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer reiterated that Triple H will definitely not be competing at 'Mania 38 and that any such in-ring involvement for the King of Kings at the 2022 iteration of the Granddaddy of Them All would be a "horrible idea".

Interestingly, Dave didn't completely rule out Triple H lacing up his boots again at some point down the line; just not for WrestleMania 38.

For those who may have missed it, Paul Levesque suffered a "cardiac event" last year which required him to undergo major surgery. Since then, the 14-time World Champion has been totally absent from the WWE Performance Center and from the running of the NXT 2.0 product.

Given how WWE is going all out to bring as many eyes to WrestleMania 38 as possible, it's understandable that some many ponder whether Triple H could somehow be involved in the event. While that won't be the case, this year's 'Mania will reportedly see the in-ring return of 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, some sort of something between Vince McMahon and Pat McAfee, celebrity involvement in the form of Logan Paul and Johnny Knoxville, and a huge Champion vs. Champion contest between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.
