A new report from Ringside News states that there is a degree of "pushback" on Keith Lee within WWE, as Vince McMahon believes the company is yet to find the "special spark" needed to take the former NXT Champion to the next level.

One of RSN's sources stated that Lee's promos have failed to "catch on fire" since he transitioned to the main roster, with the quote coming just two months after Keith was one of several big men sent back to the WWE Performance Center to work on their in-ring skills, joining Otis, Omos, and more.

McMahon believes that Lee isn't yet the finished product, hence his middling status on Raw.

Lee was still scheduled to wrestle Riddle and champion Bobby Lashley for the United States Championship at this weekend's Elimination Chamber 2021 show at the time of writing. His pay-per-view status remains in doubt, however, as Dave Meltzer noted that "something is going on" with Lee earlier in the week, as the 'Limitless One' missed Raw. WWE worked this into a storyline by claiming Keith was inured after the previous week's attack by Randy Orton.
