Dave Bautista (or Batista to professional wrestling fans) has completed filming his scenes for the forthcoming sequel to 2014's Guardians of the Galaxy.

Titled Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2, the film is slated for release in 2017 and yesterday saw principal photography all but wrapped up.

In the movie Batista will reprise his role as Drax the Destroyer, a like Batista persona of a character who has superhuman strength and resistance to injury, as well as the ability to hit his foes with a spear from out of nowhere. That last bit might not be true.

News of Batista's scenes finishing up came from none other than David Otunga, everyone's favourite WWE employee who is also a lawyer. Unfortunately there was no travel mug in sight.

Otunga recently made the on-screen transition from backstage to the commentary booth, working full-time on Superstars and Main Event.
