Best (And Worst) Of NXT 2016
5. TakeOver Of The Year: Toronto
Of all the categories covered in this post, this was the hardest to pick. Out of the four NXT TakeOver cards we saw this year, which was the best?
It came down to two - Dallas and Toronto. When you put it to paper, it gets even more blurred. Both had stellar NXT Tag Team Championship matches, great Women's matches, and two main events that ended the night off right. It really came down to the "filler matches". The Zayn vs. Nakamura match was an instant classic, but the Corbin vs. Aries match lacked that kind of energy to really get invested in. Meanwhile, we had the Dillinger vs. Roode match that was all kinds of great, and The Authors of Pain vs. TM61, which really showcased both teams' ability to work well together on the big stage. And at that point, Toronto had Dallas beat.
Don't get it twisted though: both were fantastic shows, but Toronto just edges Dallas.
