Big Show's WWE World Heavyweight Title Reign Was Shortest In History

He was crowned champion for all of 1 minute and 52 seconds before losing it.

Big Show's recent capturing of the World Heavyweight Title at the WWE TLC pay-per-view and subsequent defeat to Daniel Bryan (after he cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase) was the shortest reign with the title in history. He was crowned champion for all of 1 minute and 52 seconds before losing it. He beats previous record holder (not that it is a record many would like to carry) Jeff Hardy who held the belt for 3 minutes and 9 seconds at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view in June 2009 before CM Punk similarly was the opportunist and cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase. The record for the longest running reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion goes to Batista who held the title for 282 days between April 2005 before having to vacate the belt in January 2006 through injury. He beats out Triple H by just two days who carried the belt from December 2002 to September 2003.
