BIG Update On Sasha Banks & Naomi's Internal WWE Roster Status

Conflicting reports on Sasha Banks and Naomi's WWE status breed further confusion.

If you were hoping for the apparent stalemate between WWE and its former Women's Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks and Naomi to clear up anytime soon, it appears you are out of luck.

Despite talk that Banks has been released by the promotion, PWInsider's Mike Johnson notes that not only are Sasha and Naomi still with WWE, but they remain listed on the company's internal roster. The promotion has not made any internal changes to the duo's status since they walked out of the 16 May episode of Raw.

Driven by creative frustrations, amongst other things, Banks and Naomi's Raw walkout saw them suspended indefinitely and stripped of their Women's Tag Team Championships. News that Banks had been released broke on 15 June, though this was quickly disputed.

Johnson's writeup explicitly states that "Neither have been officially released."

Wrestling Inc.'s Raj Giri, who broke the news of Banks' reported release, has reaffirmed his original report. He claims that Sasha was let go by the company on 10 June, with the move coming from WWE's Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs for Talent Relations, Erika Schreiber:-

WWE is yet to release confirmation either way.
