Bill DeMott's Side Of The Story: 13 Things We Learned On Talk Is Jericho

10. Dealing With Preconceptions

He says the reputation he's developed has followed him since his first season coaching Tough Enough, and that in this day and age people can't separate the person from their character. DeMott talks about how he came out of Tough Enough as the new and improved Bill DeMott and was running through guys, but then he was asked to return to the show again. Jericho says that he's never seen the hard-nosed side of DeMott that people speak about, complimenting him on always being really fun to work with. Bill says he always tried because he loves wrestling, but that expectations take over and people just assume he's tough, but it's a tough business. He says that people go off what they hear rather than their own experiences, but that's his cross to bear. He says Kevin Dunn would ask him "Are you ready to be an *sshole for another season?" and he would say "Yeah, because that's my job."
