Booking John Cena Over The Next Year
3. HEEL TURN!
They thought it might never happen, but it's been the topic of backstage gossip lately and losing the championship would be just enough to send Cena over the edge, as he takes his frustrations out on the new champ in a brutal attack after the match.
Unrelenting chair shots pound down on Undertaker just moments after the match finishes, and the Leader of the Cenation seemingly turns his back on his loyal legion of fans in favour of the glory and triumph of championship gold.
The next week, Cena explains his actions were out of frustration at us, the fans, because of how we've viewed him his whole career. He says we would get behind him before abandoning him for the next new guy up from NXT, the indies, Raw, or even just the next guy out for a match. Enough was enough, and it was time for a change. "NOW you have a reason to boo me."
It's okay though - Cena has his contractual rematch and that then gives him a chance to become a record-breaking 17-time world champion. Not only does he not care for your boos, but he also doesn't care for some insignificant record held by an old timer like Ric Flair, and he insists that he'll make history again and again and again.
So the rematch gets set: The Undertaker defends his WWE Championship against John Cena, with the prospect of the former champ becoming the most decorated superstar in WWE history if he pulls off a win against the Phenom.
