Yes, yes. This is the one where *that* thing happened in Montreal. But let's not get ahead of ourselves.

After having perhaps the greatest and most important feud in the entire history of professional wrestling with Stone Cold Steve Austin, 'The Excellence Of Execution' won his fifth and final WWE Championship by controversially defeating The Undertaker at SummerSlam 1997, thanks to a chair shot courtesy of the special guest referee, Shawn Michaels.

After a solid, but ultimately unspectacular, couple of months that saw the heel Canadian retain his title over challengers such as 'Taker and The Patriot (!), Bret started a feud - his last - with Shawn Michaels' newly-formed DX. A number of fun segments followed on RAW, before Bret was infamously screwed out of the title in his last match with the company at Survivor Series.

Looking back at his last reign, even though Hart was having solid matches (as usual), he wasn't doing anything particularly interesting - compared to his other reigns - before the feud with HBK. And especially considering how it ended, this is far from being one of 'The Hitman's best reigns as WWE Champion.
