3. Brock Lesnar Vs Big Show (Royal Rumble 2014)

With all the fury over Batista's Royal Rumble victory, most fans seem to have forgotten this never ending scene. While the match itself lasted all of about two minutes and featured as many moves, the post match beat down which saw Lesnar repeatedly strike Show with 19 chair shots just went on and on. Is it fair to say the match sucked when it wasn't really a match? Were we asking too much from WWE to see these two behemoths collide in something vaguely resembling a fight? This match had a lot of hype behind it, because Brock Lesnar's mere presence demands hype. It was also intriguing (especially for new fans who weren't watching in 2002) to see the Beast Incarnate against an opponent who could so easily overpower him. Yes Triple H could take the fight to Brock, but they were roughly the same size. Seeing Big Show (rather clumsily) tossing Lesnar around like a cruiserweight, provoked the loudest reaction Show had received in years. This was the same man who cried when Stephanie McMahon slapped him repeatedly just a few months earlier. Seeing him manhandle Lesnar erased those memories and turned Show back into a threat. All so we could get one KO Punch, one F-5 and a never ending barrage of chair shots. Brock's a beast! We get it already!
