Brock Lesnar's 10 Most Violent Moments

6. Lesnar vs. John Cena (Extreme Rules, 2012)

This was not the first time the two had ever met in the ring, but it was definitely the first time John Cena faced Lesnar while being portrayed as the number one guy in the company. Previously, Cena had just been a rap thug while Lesnar stood on top of the mountain. When Lesnar returned to WWE in 2012, he set his sights on John Cena and, with a legitimate stiff punch that gave Cena a cut on his lip, he sent the message that he wanted to be back on top in WWE. Throughout the match, Lesnar made mincemeat out of Cena. It wasn€™t nearly as bad a confrontation as their SummerSlam match two years later, but Cena still received a massive beating and it took just about everything he had to survive and be able to stand up for another few seconds. However, just as fans were starting to believe that Lesnar was going to win, Cena picked Lesnar up, dropped him with the Attitude Adjustment onto the steel steps and secured the three count. Even though Cena survived, he was still left a mess at the hands of Lesnar, and afterwards he even contemplated leaving wrestling for awhile. Of course, knowing Cena, he wasn€™t gone for too long, but Lesnar€™s performance in the match was viable enough to make a lot of people believe that Cena was going to step away.
