Every wrestler has a signature opponent. For Bret Hart, it's Shawn Michaels. For The Rock, it's Stone Cold Steve Austin. And for Brock Lesnar, it's Kurt Angle.

Any time the WWE would put these two accomplished amateur wrestlers in a ring together, they would create magic. Lesnar and Angle competed against one another for the WWE Championship for most of 2003, and they tore the house down each and every time. But it was their first PPV singles match at WrestleMania XIX that would set the tone for this fantastic rivalry.

This match is largely remembered for the botched Shooting Star Press that somehow did not give Lesnar anything more than a concussion. Though Lesnar's rough landing forced them to call an audible on the ending, it did not diminish the match's quality at all. In fact, many forget just how outstanding the remainder of this match was.

Slick chain wrestling, excellent selling by both men, and a hot Seattle crowd made for a thoroughly enjoyable contest between two world-class athletes.
