Brock Lesnar's WWE WrestleMania Matches Ranked From Worst To Best
3. Vs. Goldberg (WrestleMania 33)
Talk about redemption.
13 years removed from their disastrous match at WrestleMania XX, Lesnar squared off with Goldberg once again at WrestleMania 33, this time for the Universal Championship. This match was the complete antithesis of their first WrestleMania encounter. Gone were the listless, uninspired defectors of 2004, and in their place were two first-rate hosses putting on an intense-yet-brief display of nonstop, hard-hitting action.
This 4 minutes and 45-second slugfest saw Goldberg and Lesnar refusing to give an inch, repeatedly hitting one another with the best moves in their arsenal until Lesnar finally managed to fell his rival with an F5. Sure, it was basically just Brock and Goldberg spamming signature moves for the whole match, but that's all it ever needed to be in the first place. Golberg was never meant to wrestle for more than five minutes, and Lesnar's current move-set of devastating Suplexes and F5s compliments that style more effectively than his more varied and technical 2004 move-set did.
Some have called this match the best sub-5-minute match in wrestling history, and it's difficult to disagree with that sentiment.
