Card Subject To Change: Repackaging WWE Survivor Series 1989
4. The 4x4's Versus The King's Court
'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan (captain), The Bushwhackers and Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake versus 'Macho King' Randy Savage (captain), Rhythm & Blues and The Genius (with 'Sensational' Queen Sherri, Jimmy Hart and Zeus).
The only match from the original card that retains the original captains' matchup, 'Macho King' Randy Savage leads the entourage of his queen, knights and minstrels into battle against the former King Duggan. In place of Dino Bravo, Earthquake and The Widowmaker, Savage summons former nemeses The Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine as well as his Royal Counsel (and actual brother) 'The Genius' Lanny Poffo to the ranks.
With Bret Hart and Hercules occupied elsewhere, 'Hacksaw' has fittingly deployed a menagerie of the most uncouth subjects imaginable; namely, the Bushwhackers and Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake. As an added thorn in the royals' sides, perennial Valentine foe 'Rugged' Ronnie Garvin is reassigned and commissioned as guest referee.
Unsurprisingly, Savage and crew exploit every advantage possible. Bushwhacker Luke falls to The Genius first, using Hart's megaphone. Valentine falls next when a shoving match with Garvin over the referee's cadence results in 'The Hammer' absorbing a Duggan clothesline. The Honky Tonk Man pins Butch with Sherri restraining his legs and a Randy Savage Elbow dispatches Brutus after Zeus javelins 'The Barber' into the ringpost. Fed up with the interventions, Garvin expels all outside parties. As Garvin escorts the reinforcements out, Savage jams his scepter into Duggan's throat and collects the final elimination.
