'The American Dream' Dusty Rhodes (captain), Koko B. Ware and The Hart Foundation versus 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase (captain), Rhythm and Blues and The Undertaker (with Virgil, Jimmy Hart and Brother Love).

Fate unfolds in mysterious ways sometimes.

Case in point, Bad News Brown was supposed to be teammates with Ted DiBiase, The Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine on this night. His departure from the company opened the door for a mystery partner who would become a cornerstone of the industry for the next thirty years.

For the first time in these revisions, all participants remain in place, ESPECIALLY the debuting Undertaker. Captains Rhodes and DiBiase were embroiled in a feud that began with Dusty's manager Sapphire selling out at SummerSlam before escalating to nasty levels involving The Dream's son, Dustin. Jimmy Hart was attempting to guide Rhythm and Blues to wrest the Tag Team Championships from his former charges and Koko B. Ware got the extreme short end of the stick while expecting to mix it up with Bad News Brown. The sole revision is that the fallout is slightly different.

After 'The Birdman' becomes the unfortunate first recipient of the Tombstone, Dusty's team rallies back. Bret pins The Honky Tonk Man following the Hart Attack and Dusty drills Valentine with a Bionic Elbow to regain a 3-2 advantage. The momentum is stopped dead moments later, though, as Neidhart, then Hart fall to Tombstones and Dusty is caught from behind by a DiBiase victory roll.
