Casting The Roddy Piper Film

8. Hulk Hogan - Chris Hemsworth

Sam Rockwell Piper 2
Netflix

Let's face it; if the film happens to be about someone who was a big deal in '80s WWE, Hulk Hogan is going to play a major role. Not actual Hulk Hogan, but someone portraying the Hulkster. This is particularly true when it comes to 'Rowdy' Roddy Piper. It can be argued that the feud between Piper and Hogan was the first beef that thrust WWE well and truly into the mainstream.

Piper and Hogan were on opposite sides of the ring for the main event of WrestleMania I, Piper the classic heel and Hogan the ultimate babyface, with their respective tag team partners. The two would lock horns many more times throughout their careers, all the way up until the late '90s and the Monday Night Wars.

Who should play Hulk Hogan? As Chris Hemsworth is already down to play Hogan in that biopic, than why not have the Avengers star double up and portray the leader of the most powerful force in the universe in this film too? It seems like a no brainer. Unless Hemsworth makes a mess of the Hogan role, obviously.
