Their feud may have culminated in one of the worst WrestleMania matches in the history of the show, but the beef between Roddy Piper and Mr T was a generation-defining one. It helped make that first WrestleMania the game-changer that it was, and it carried all the way over to 'Mania 2. We can forget the miserable match at that show and focus instead on the fascinating story that spanned those shows.

Piper and T famously didn't get along, to say the least. You could say the two 'hated' each other, to the point where the boxing match at WM2 was the forced end of the feud because of fears of legal ramifications. Piper despised T's apparent disrespect for the pro wrestling industry and he wasn't the sort of character to let that slide. It all fizzled out in the end, but this is an integral part of Piper's career and the development of pro wrestling.

Who should play Mr T? Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson got the gig for the 2010 remake of 'The A Team', but a whole decade has passed since then. Winston Duke has been a breakout star of the last few years and has the physical charisma and tough demeanour required to accurately portray ol' B.A. Baracus.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
