Cesaro In WWE: Where Did It All Go Wrong

1. His Recent Misfortunes

What a slide Cesaro has been on since WrestleMania 37.

The 'Swing King' toppled Seth Rollins on that pay-per-view, then used newfound momentum to springboard into a feud with SmackDown head boy Roman Reigns for the Universal Title. WWE were never putting the belt on him, but things were still looking up for Cesaro.

Post-Roman, everything went to the dogs again. Cesaro continued slipping down the card until he was teaming with Mansoor on Friday nights. WWE didn't like that pairing, so they plugged Ricochet in as his new partner instead and...proceeded to do bugger all with them. They were just making up the numbers.

It cannot have been easy for Cesaro to smile through this mediocrity. From Rollins and Reigns to Mansoor and endless interchangeable multi-man tags. Ouch.
