Following an appearance at Worlds Collide last month, could Chavo Guerrero Jr. be set for a proper WWE return? Seemingly so.

Per Fightful Select, from those Chavo spoke to before and during WWE x AAA Worlds Collide, the veteran claimed that he is formally back with WWE in an official capacity. Fightful has since reached out to WWE for a comment on this, but the outlet has yet to receive a response.

Should Guerrero indeed be back in WWE on a full-time or even semi-regular basis, it could be an extremely smart move. From your writer's perspective, someone like Chavo would be an ideal fit for the relationship between WWE and AAA, with WWE announcing during WrestleMania 41 that it was in the process of acquiring the lucha promotion.

A member of the legendary Guerrero family, part of Mexican wrestling royalty, and with 30+ years of experience in the industry, Chavo has so much that he brings to the table when it comes to WWE and AAA. As well as his time as an in-ring talent, the 54-year-old has also worked as a trainer and producer, and likewise has worked for AAA at a couple of points over the years.

In terms of in-ring, Guerrero is still an active performer, with him most recently lacing up his boots for TNA back in March, teaming with Octagon Jr. and Laredo Kid. As for AAA, Chavo last competed under the AAA banner back in October, working another six-man bout.

During his ten years with WWE - joining in 2001 as part of the WCW buyout, then departing in 2011 - Chavo Guerrero Jr. had notable success, winning the WWE Tag Team Championships twice with Eddie Guerrero, winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on four occasions, and having a run as the ECW World Champion. Prior to that, Chavo won the WCW Cruiserweight Title twice and had an uber-brief reign as the WCW Tag Team Champions with Lash LeRoux. As for after his WWE stint, Guerrero's biggest title successes saw him and Hernandez have two spells as the TNA Tag Team Champions, while Chavo would also win the Gift of the Gods Title during his time with the much-missed Lucha Underground.
