Chris Jericho Names AEW's Backstage "Team Captains"

Jericho and these 2 wrestlers have stepped up amidst AEW's controversy.

Chris Jericho has told Comicbook.com that Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley and himself have become "captains of the team" backstage in AEW.

All three ex-WWE stars are veterans who plan to steady the ship amidst controversy in the locker room. Jericho doesn't even think anything is all that shocking - he described recent dramas involving CM Punk, The Elite, Sammy Guevara and Andrade El Idolo as "growing pains" for the company.

The legend also thinks "little dips and dots" are natural for any pro wrestling promotion, and doesn't believe people should write AEW off just because of these incidents. However, Jericho does realise that men like himself must step up and lead by example where possible.

Blackpool Combat Club members Mox and Danielson see things the same way, and they've been invaluable mentors for many young stars behind the All Elite curtain. Jericho is thankful they're in the promotion to begin with, and reckons AEW will be able to ride recent sh*tstorms out soon.

He says it's important for everyone to focus on the positives in AEW, because (to him) they outweigh the negatives right now.
