CM Punk: 10 Great Feuds He Could Have Had In 2014

9. Triple H

One of the reasons CM Punk left WWE in the first place was his displeasure with the plans the company had for him at WrestleMania. Those plans included taking on Triple H, to which Punk responded by telling management that he did not believe a match against the COO would be important enough for him at the biggest show of the year. It was a big show of disrespect towards The Game, who is one of the most prominent stars WWE has produced in the last 20 years. The damage that statement did to the ego of Triple H had to have created a major schism between the two stars. Should Punk have stuck around and the two sides been able to iron out their differences, fans could have been treated to one of the best feuds in recent memory. When Punk rose to stardom during the Summer of Punk back in 2011, Vince McMahon was not really capable of going toe-to-toe with his employee in promos the likes of which Punk was cutting. Even Triple H attempted to do so but by the time he got involved the promos had become more watered down and inorganic than the original pipe bomb and the controversy surrounding them was all but extinguished. Now, with Punk so frustrated that he actually walked off the job and Triple H so disrespected after the comment made about him by the self-proclaimed Best in the World, there would be plenty of ammunition for some heated back-and-forth promos from the competitors. Couple that with the motivation of both men to prove how good they are to one another and you have the recipe for one of the most captivating feuds of the last decade.
