CM Punk: 10 Great WWE Feuds We Never Got To See

1. Cesaro

Cesaro Punk Making his WWE debut in April 2012, Cesaro has already impressed many members of the WWE Universe with his unadulterated strength and pure power. He had a lengthy eight month reign as United States champion last year and has had impressive outings against the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan, among others. He has shown, especially in recent months, that he has the potential to be a top star in WWE. He took another step toward super stardom at WrestleMania 30 when he emerged victorious in the first ever Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. The next night on Raw, Cesaro became the newest "Paul Heyman Guy" when he aligned with the founder of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Since then, Cesaro has found success in matches against Rob Van Dam, Jack Swagger and Sheamus. With the Money in the Bank pay-per-view right around the corner, there's a fairly good chance Cesaro could be walking out of Boston with the opportunistic briefcase in tow. Of all the main event players that Cesaro has faced off against in the last two years, CM Punk was never won of them. The two rarely crossed paths if at all and Punk's abrupt departure from WWE in January left many fans disappointed that a match between them never came to fruition. Both have had decorated careers in Ring of Honors and are recognized as two of the best wrestlers in the world, so one would think that pairing them off in a match/feud would be a no-brainer. Not to WWE, apparently. Had Punk stuck around for another few months, a match between these two would have been more likely. Cesaro didn't start getting into his stride until just recently and thus a Punk vs. Cesaro feud probably wouldn't have meant as much last year as it would now. However, with Paul Heyman now an advocate of The Swiss Superman, a rivalry between them essentially writes itself given Punk's history with Heyman. Cesaro may not be the best promo guy, but that's where Heyman comes in, and we all know the magic that can be made whenever Punk and his former friend both have microphones in their hands. If Punk was to never return to the company, this is the one feud fans will regret not seeing the most.
