CM Punk: 10 Reasons We Need To Let Him Go

1. If (When) He Does Come Back, It Will Be More Interesting

With all that being said, CM Punk coming back would be far more interesting to me if we all stopped talking about him for a while. Let the subject lie dormant, trust me it will do wonders for how you feel about him, one way or the other. As much as some people love spoilers €“ and I do not €“ tell me it€™s not a lot more satisfying to be surprised? Chris Jericho has proven himself the master of shocking returns, especially amazing in the social media age. He is very selective with how he shares his life with fans online; he gives enough to keep people engaged, but without spoiling what€™s next. CM Punk may not be engaging us at all, and as a matter of fact I find it poetic and lovely that his last tweet read, €œThanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool.€ Why not play a role in what could be a great story, by letting it go. Think of him as a guy who got burnt out, and needs to regenerate away from the nattering masses. I€™m sure he appreciates that people voiced their opinions, and got mad as hell, and chanted, and did whatever they felt was necessary to express themselves. But I imagine that it€™s also exhausting, even if he€™s not sitting at home poring over the fan pages and dirt sheets. What wrestler wouldn€™t prefer to come back when everyone is least expecting it, rather than scrutinizing his every move? Now I€™ve almost got myself convinced that he€™ll come back. Almost.
