CM Punk: 10 Reasons He Will Be Back In WWE Before Long
6. Contractually He Might Be Required To Return
The terms of CM Punk's exit are unknown. His contract is over, yet he never worked the final six months of his agreement. That could mean Punk is legally obliged to fulfil his commitments to WWE before he can wrestle for anyone else. Brock Lesnar had a similar situation with WWE back in 2004, although the company eventually budged and allowed him to work in Japan. Punk might be in a position where he doesn't really have his freedom. He might quite fancy the idea of working with his pal AJ Styles in his native Ring Of Honor, but that will be a no-go as long as WWE have the six month owed obligation over Punk's head. It could be a similar case to what happened with Randy Couture in UFC circa 2007. He left over pay frustrations, but due to owed dates, he ended up having to go back in 2008. Legally we just don't know what position WWE and Punk are in. If WWE still have a power of his life then he might seriously want to consider going back and ending his career properly.
