John Cena versus CM Punk is this generation's Austin versus Rock. The feud has played out brilliantly over the last few years, in particular at Money In The Bank 2011, a match so epic it won Dave Meltzer's 5 star Wrestling Observer award. Basically what that means is Cena Vs Punk was in Meltzer's opinion the best WWE match since Taker and Michaels in 1997. Punk coming back could extend his legacy with Cena. They have brilliant creative dynamics similar to Batman and Superman, Punk is a darker anti-hero whereas Cena is the loathed traditional superhero. Neither man ever really got the better of their feud. What we need to see is the definitive Cena vs Punk match, the only location big enough has to be a future WrestleMania. Think about it, Austin vs Rock worked through Mania on three occasions, yet this generation's top two guys haven't met on the biggest stage yet? It's an oversight WWE, Cena, and Punk need to correct. A marquee match at WrestleMania 31 of Cena vs Punk is something wrestling history demands.
