This might cause as much of a riot as Punk not turning up tonight. If he returned and sided with The Authority, it might be a massive moment for Punk. Quite often, even as a heel, he has been cheered by the 'adult' element in the crowd. A turn like this, however, would bring an equal amount of bile and boos. Again, does it make sense? Not really, but seeing Punk lay out Daniel Bryan during a match would be a huge moment in the WWE this year. Seeing a match between those two at WrestleMania would appease a lot of fans because it is two of the best going at it one on one. Also, Punk siding with HHH would be too much for many WWE fans to bear, a creative decision too far as it were, and he would potentially be booed out of the building by the Chicago crowd that love him so much. A Punk heel turn would be interesting as he's often best as the bad guy but in the current environment, it would be misjudged. The fans want a real reason why he's been away, not a storyline one. A heel turn wouldn't give us the answers we're after, only more questions.
