CM Punk: 11 Questions For Where He Goes Next

2. Hall Of Fame

If this really is it for Punk and wrestling, then the next stop could be the WWE Hall Of Fame. He has gave the indication to his friends several times in the past that when he's done, he's done. If that's the case and he is finished up, then a Hall Of Fame spot sooner rather than later makes sense. Punk's name is hot right now, it won't be this hot ten years from now. Is he worthy? Absolutely. Punk was the best wrestler in the world for the last few years, both in the ring and on the microphone he outperformed everybody. Along the way he picked up the distinct honour of being WWE Champion for 434 days, the longest reigning WWE Champion of the modern era. If that isn't Hall Of Fame worthy, I don't know what is. The issue blocking Punk's Hall of Fame induction is of course how much heat the company have with him over his exit. Thus far we have only heard about Triple H being angry at Punk's behaviour, Vince McMahon in contrast was keen to get Punk back to work. The trouble is, Triple H is taking on more power, so him feeling disrespected by Punk isn't exactly an encouraging sign for the supertstar getting a Hall of Fame spot. This is the WWE however, as Bret Hart and Ultimate Warrior proved, what happened in the past doesn't matter, if a name is going to draw attention and money, WWE are going to bring them in. Punk in the Hall Of Fame one day is a certainty.
