10. The Relationship With AJ Lee
CM Punk and AJ Lee reportedly got engaged not long back. That's right, the serial dater of the divas and seemingly anti-commitment Punk has tied himself down. Some fans might be starting to think that 2014 is all some sort of Punk mid-thirties crisis, first he quits his job, now he gets engaged. Both those things, especially the engagement, seemed unlikely a year ago he wasn't even dating AJ a year ago! So what does the future hold for the whirlwind romance and loved up pair? Well, you would expect the wedding within the year, both don't have any finance issues or even time issues in Punk's case, there's no good reason why they should wait on the ceremony. Would WWE people be invited? A select few perhaps but not many. Punk hasn't bothered with anyone since leaving, meanwhile AJ is hardly the most popular person backstage. A smaller private ceremony for closer friends and family is probably going to be what happens. Will all of this have any repercussions for AJ Lee still being in WWE? The truth is she can bring enough heat on herself with her attitude and fan-like behaviour backstage, dating Punk shouldn't damage her too much beyond the heat she already has. Short term she might be punished in booking / creative over Punk's departure, but long term WWE will have to go back to her because she really is the best they've got right now amongst the female roster.
