5. Straight Edge Savior - WrestleMania 26
http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xcsojn_wrestlemania-26-hd-rey-mysterio-vs_sport There was not a hotter heel in all of WWE entering WrestleMania 26 in April of 2010 than CM Punk. Dubbed the "Straight Edge Savior," he had begun portraying a Christ-like figure that offered to save anyone looking to leave behind vices such as alcohol and drugs. He took a former comedic character such as Festus, renamed him Luke Gallows, and made him the first member of the Straight Edge Society. He then plucked Serena out of the audience, shaved her head on SmackDown, and added her to the group. Together, they spoke out against the weak. One of those "weak" was Rey Mysterio, who cost Punk the opportunity to headline WrestleMania by eliminating him in February's Elimination Chamber match for the World Heavyweight Championship. A rivalry ensued in the weeks that followed and Punk only intensified said rivalry by making it personal. In a memorable angle on SmackDown, Punk creepily sang "Happy Birthday" to Mysterio's daughter Alliyah. It was incredibly uncomfortable and resulted in scorching heat for Punk heading into the biggest event of the year. Punk made his way to the ring at WrestleMania 26, cutting a promo on the people and further taunting his opponent. So brilliant was he on the mic that the match almost became secondary. That is not to say the match was bad but a lack of time really hampered any attempt the performers made to try to tell a story. Mysterio won the match but Punk was so over at that point that it did not damage the character of the stable at all. Instead, the act got hotter in the weeks that followed, leading to a huge "Mask vs. Hair" match between the two at May's Over the Limit pay-per-view.
