CM Punk: His 8 Greatest WrestleMania Moments

1. Rest in Peace - WrestleMania 29

In recent years, competing against the Dead Man has meant as much, if not more, than competing for a championship and that is a testament to the uniqueness of his undefeated streak. In 2013, CM Punk was selected to be the latest Superstar to challenged the fabled undefeated streak. Battling nagging injuries, Punk made his way to the squared circle with the band Living Colour playing his theme song, "Cult of Personality," live at East Rutherford's MetLife Stadium. It was the first time that Punk had truly been treated as one of the elite stars in the company, and justifiably so. He had made them a great deal of money, had been chosen to carry the company's top prize for over a year and was among the most popular stars in the industry...despite his status as a heel. Punk played mind games with Undertaker early, mocking him and proving to the world that the respected veterans' cheap parlor tricks did not intimidate him. Punk wrestled an excellent match, took risks that ended up hurting him as much as they did his opponent and appeared to have the Phenom beaten on several occasions. It was a late reversal, however, that saw Undertaker counter Punk's Go To Sleep into a Tombstone for the win. While the match may have been the latest victory in Undertaker's legendary undefeated streak, it was the finest moment Punk had ever experienced at WrestleMania. The Best in the World had the best match on the card at the biggest and most special event the company has to offer. Quite the way to wrap up his WrestleMania legacy. For now.
