Leading on from the last point, there would absolutely be no Daniel Bryan without CM Punk. It was Punk who proved to WWE that a former indie star can adapt to the WWE environment, that a smaller man with technical wrestling ability can become a main event draw. CM Punk ended up being so successful that he really has managed to leave a legacy of a more open WWE, where anyone can succeed with the right level of hard work. Bryan is one of the first men to benefit from that Punk legacy. The Yes man is very much in the same mould as Punk, he's all about the wrestling with charismatic mic skills to match. Ten years ago WWE would never have pushed Bryan because he is too small and isn't one of WWE's own, he is a king of the indies. Thanks to Punk, that WWE blockade on this style of wrestler changed, the path was open for Bryan, and he is now set to become the biggest star in the wrestling industry. While the YES movement is making Vince McMahon millions of dollars later this year it will be in part down to none other than CM Punk showing what can work on top in the modern era.
