Last night's episode of Dynamite saw CM Punk drop a major hint that the former Daniel Bryan is on his way to All Elite Wrestling.

Punk was in the ring, getting interviewed by Tony Schiavone in his featured promo spot. He addressed his All Out 2021 opponent, Darby Allin, pinpointing the former TNT Champion as an essential step in determining if he is still capable of being the 'Best in the World,' which drew big "Yes!" chants from the Milwaukee crowd.

Instead of ignoring them, Punk dropped the following line:-

Bryan is currently a free agent following his WWE contract's expiration after a Universal Title vs. career match with Roman Reigns in late April. Bodyslam.net's Cassidy Haynes reported in July that the 40-year-old was "100% locked in" on an AEW contract, with 22 September's Grand Slam show at Arthur Ashe Stadium, New York City pinpointed as his potential debut night.

Prior to last night, AEW had largely resisted leaning into the Danielson speculation as it had done with Punk before last week's Rampage. This is no longer the case.
