CM Punk goes OFF on WWE Raw!

As the patented Road to WrestleMania continues, last night's WWE Raw saw CM Punk cut quite the promo.

Ahead of facing Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42 later this month, the Second City Saint took aim at Roman, his wider family tree, TKO, Pat McAfee, and even referenced Vince McMahon.

In terms of that McMahon reference, Punk said:

"[Roman Reigns is] a bucktoothed nepo bay who ate dog food for a weird old man. That weird ole man, for years, treated me like a dog, and he expected me to smile, but I had F-you money, so I took that and my dignity, and left."

The most interesting element of this promo to many, the current World Heavyweight Champion then took a shot at Pat McAfee's SmackDown promo in regards to WrestleMania 42 ticket sales, with Punk calling out the sky-high prices of 'Mania tickets.

"You want to talk about ticket sales? Do me a favour, and call up that agent that was foolish enough to shoehorn you into this business and this show, and tell him to lower the ticket prices. Lower the ticket prices, because I want all of these families to come watch me stand on Roman Reigns’ throat at WrestleMania. Because my name is CM Punk, and I approve this message."

Of course, "that agent" is a nod to TKO CEO Ari Emanuel, who also serves as Pat McAfee's agent. It was reported over the weekend that Emanuel was the driving force behind the reveal of McAfee as the mystery person Randy Orton had been speaking to in recent weeks.

While not quite on the same level as his infamous pipe bomb of 2011, this latest CM Punk promo is certainly a newsworthy one, particularly in how the Straight-Edge Superstar hit out at ticket prices at a time when TKO has continued to push those prices higher and higher and higher over the past few years.

As for Roman Reigns, while the Tribal Chief was completely absent from this week's Raw, he's scheduled to appear on next week's go-home edition as WrestleMania 42 edges ever closer.
